Macrossan Street is the main street of Port Douglas and
links Dickson's Inlet (ANZAC Park) with Four Mile Beach, Trinity Bay. It
is 805 metres long and has an extraordinary array of shops and services.
The Map above.
There are 32 points of interest to cruise ship passengers and
crews and do not just showcase commercial properties.
Toilets.
The map shows two (2. & 5.) official toilets but there are many more
than that in the hotels, shopping centres and eateries. There are more
toilets in Port Douglas than many European Cities and all are free.
Getting around.
From Reef Marina to and including Macrossan Street is fairly flat but
watch your step. On cruise ship days it can be crowded and the foot
paths are not always even. Progress can be slow dodging all the sandwich
signs, driveways and monsoon drains.
Free Wifi.
There is a lot of "free" Wifi but the Commonwealth Bank (13.) and Target
(11.) are the best.
